Contemporary lighting covers a broad scope of lighting that was developed during the second half of the 20th Century. Contemporary Lighting is typified by soft rounded lines and bold color. Modern lighting dates back to the 1930's and is clean and streamlined, often characterized by mirrored or polished surfaces, and sleek geometric shapes. We have grouped Modern and Contemporary Table Lamps together because even though there is a distinct difference with these two decorating styles, it has been our experience that the general population use the term interchangeably.
