Quoizel developed this elegant shade and lamp base in keeping with the long tradition of finding inspiration in Native American pottery, textiles and jewelry. Diamonds figure prominently in all types of Navajo art. They have become the symbol most often used to create “southwestern" designs. Translating the motif to Tiffany glass changes the feel of the design and places it more in the Arts & Crafts style. Inspiration came from the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture in Santa Fe.
